Toby took this photo when we were out one day a few weeks ago. Now, Halloween is here and I’m a little sad that all the festivities are almost over for the year! Not as sad as this pumpkin in the lobby of our building:
“Why didn’t you just eat me, yo?”
Things must have taken a turn for the worst while we were out celebrating Halloween (Eve?) last night, because when we got home this is what we found:
RIP, Sad Pumpkin :(
Toby and I went to a haunted house yesterday. These haunted houses are set up all over the city, and aren’t really houses at all- they’re big spaces that have been decked out with all sorts of props and actors and scary scenes to scare the cr@p out of you! The one we went to is 18+ and boy, I can definitely see why! (Hint: there are naked people in the house.) It was very disturbing but a pretty unique Halloween experience for us both!
Can you guess what I’m dressed as?
No costume. Sorry guys! My favorite costume of the night was Green Man from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I didn’t get a photo, but here’s a little snap from the show:
Argh, I’m cracking up just looking at him!
We ate dinner at a Mediterranean restaurant in Greenwich Village (why am I all about the green this week?) where I ordered 2 tapas plates:
The salad was great (it was supposed to have feta cheese, but I asked for none) and the hummus was amazing!
Speaking of amazing, here is my Sunday Oatmeal shot for the week:
Eyes off, Mia!!
I cooked it on the stovetop for once, and I have to say, I actually prefer it in the microwave. The banana gets gooeyer (um, more gooey) and it doesn’t dry out as much. Not to mention, it’s a lot quicker and easier!
I set aside a portion for tomorrow so I can eat it at work. Genius! :)
O hai, cake!
This little lady is some strawberry shortcake from Curly’s Vegetarian Lunch, where I had dinner on Friday. It looks good, sure- but I couldn’t eat it all.
See? To be fair, it had been sitting in the fridge since Friday, and I really am not a big fan of cake in general (I much prefer the wetter desserts like puddings and cheesecakes) but is this even really a strawberry shortcake? I don’t know. Anyway, Toby ate all of his so that must count for something!
And now it’s time to get out and enjoy this gorgeous day!
